The Level 2 Security Guarding course is designed for fulfilling the demands of the Security Industry Authority (SIA), based on the SIA Specifications for Learning and Qualifications. This accredited qualification provides the relevant skills and knowledge to the aspirants wishing to find an SIA licence and start their career as a Security Guard.
This course is suitable for individuals looking forward to working in the private security industry based in the IJK, Those who hold the Security Guarding Licence are permitted to work in all the Static premises like shopping malls, construction Sites, banks, schools, hospitals, etc. However, to work in regulated entertainment venues and premises that sell alcohol, one must complete a door supervisor course. Warehouse operatives work in a variety of warehouse environments. Work activities include taking deliveries, checking for damaged/missing items, storing goods, moving stock by various methods, picking/packing orders, loading goods for dispatch, maintaining stock records and documentation, and cleaning. They are required to safely use a range of equipment, machinery and vehicles, as relevant to their role and setting. This could include mechanical racking systems, materials handling equipment (MHE) or fork lift trucks.
Warehouse operatives communicate with a wide range of people and customers. They have a passion to meet customers’ expectations by providing a quality service that encourages repeat business. Individuals in this role are highly competent in using industry-recognised systems and associated services (eg Traffic/Warehouse Management Systems) and will be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines. A warehouse operative will often be required to be flexible and work shifts including 4-on-4-off, days, nights, evenings and weekends.

In addition, this qualification will also incorporate elements of Understanding Mental Health, Stress, Anxiety and Depression.
1. 12 months on-programme – This is when the individual will learn the skills, knowledge and behaviours which will support them for their End-Point Assessment. The learner could partake in a combination of activities, such as classroom based sessions, mentoring, shadowing, bespoke resources and off-site visits in order to support their learning and development.Â
You will be required to spend at least six hours a week on off-the-job training in order to meet the course requirements.
2. Gateway – After the 12 months teaching and learning, you, your training provider and the learner will review the learners journey and decide whether it is the right time for the on-programme assessment.
3. End-Point Assessment – This is when your learner will need to demonstrate they have learnt the required knowledge, skills and behaviours, through an on demand knowledge test, a professional discussion, practical observation and business project.
Those with an annual wage bill of less than £3m do not pay the Apprenticeship Levy. Instead, 95% of each apprenticeship is funded by the government whilst a 5% investment is required by the employer to enhance the skills of their employee.
